If you have chosen an accommodation in any of numerous rural resorts -– it doesn’t matter where -either in Istria or on the Adriatic coast or in the inner parts of Croatia - you will always have the ideal opportunity to peek behind the doors of your hosts, taste regional food and beverages, drink indigenous wine.

In the middle of Istria, at Smoljanci, 15 km away from the sea there is a renewed hundred-year- old house. The exteriors of premises remind of the Istrian building tradition while the interiors meet all the needs of modern time.
In the Istrian inland, just 12 km from Rovinj there is a renewed Istrian “stancija” (estate) owned by the family Bertetić.
Sobol house is situated in Gorski Kotar, at Kočićin (Kocicin), a village 7 km away from Brod na Kupi and 19 km from Delnice. You don’t need another reason for coming to the Sobol house in addition to its location in a marvelous valley with 500 species of butterflies, near the river Kupa in Kupa valley - the so called country of the legendary giant Petar Klepac.
The rural vacation house "Stancija Bendek" is located in the small place Pustijanci. House is some 250 years old and has been completely renewed in the traditional Istrian style, adapted to the needs of modern people.
Just forty kilometers away from Zagreb, in the heart of the region Hrvatsko Zagorje, among the beautiful green hills, there is the most beautiful hill among them - Vuglec Breg (Corner Hill). It is located in the area of town Krapina, at picturesque village Škarićevo, just 4 km from the spa Krapinske Toplice.
Homestead of the Demarins near Plomin is located on the small hill and can be approached by a woody road. An old house with a small brook that flows in front of it resembles a house from a fairy tale. Guests may use a separate house with an apartment.
On the family homestead of the aristocratic family Sinković, located on the highest hill in the north-west part of Istria, 370 m above sea level, there still exists the tradition of producing grapevine, wine, brandy, oil, fruit, vegetable and other agricultural products. This tradition has merged here with the programs for tourists.
La Casa di Matiki is a very nice rural homestead offering various additional services. The farm is completely surrounded by the original Istrian stonewall. As the homestead has a lot of space it is convenient for families with kids who can also enjoy playing with domestic animals. You may gather mushrooms in the surrounding and there are also numerous bicycle roads in the vicinity.
Palace «Lazzarini-Battiala» is situated within the premises of a baroque pastoral castle, owned by the last great landlord in Labin baron Lazzarini.
Estate Stancija Negričani is the real combination of the blue and green Istria. It is surrounded by pastures and woods, with a view of the Fazana-Brijuni islands (archipelago). The hosts themselves have a special art of preparing traditional dishes and drinks which gives the additional value to this oases of pleasure, tranquility and silence.
At Bratulić, a village near Pula, another rural homestead in this region has opened its door – Istra Partner. The name itself tells you that the hosts would really like to be your partners and that they would like to create with you your free time in this oasis of peace and intact nature.
