    ROMAN EMPERORS ROUTE 

    Belgrade - Sarajevo - Split - Dubrovnik - Podgorica

    DAY 1 BELGRADE 

    Arrival to Belgrade (Serbia) and meeting with the coach for a throughout tour and driver. Dinner in local restaurant with music. Accommodation in hotel. Overnight at hotel ***/**** in Belgrade. 

       

    DAY 2 BELGRADE

    Breakfast at hotel. City tour with local guide, site seeing mediaeval Serbian churches some of which are included on the UNESCO World Heritage list, Kalemegdan (largest park in Belgrade and military museum)…, independent lunch at Skadarlija (beautiful street filled with restaurants, and the gathering place of many local musicians) and stroll through the city. The Military Museum houses a wide range of more than 25,000 military exhibits dating as far back as to the Roman period, as well as parts of a F-117 stealth aircraft shot down by the Serbian army. Evening free for individual arrangements. Dinner and overnight stay at hotel ***/****star in Belgrade. 

    DAY 3 BELGRADE – SARAJEVO 305 KM 

    Breakfast at hotel. Departure for Sarajevo (Bosnia) around 9.00. Arrival in Sarajevo. Free time for lunch in your own arrangement and personal site seeing (old town Bascarsija). Traditional drinking coffee with smoking various flavored tobacco on hookah (narghile). Accommodation in hotel. Dinner in local restaurant in Sarajevo. Return to hotel and overnight at hotel *** star in Sarajevo.

      

    DAY 4 SARAJEVO 

    Breakfast at hotel. City tour with local guide, experiencing many different landscapes, cultures, traditions and people (Bascarsija, various monuments…). Sarajevo valley become part of Roman empire, when 9 A.D. Illyrians have been conquered after two centuries of Roman resistance. Romans built very important roads from the Dalmatian coasts to the Pannonian Plain (around the Danube River) which passed through the Sarajevo Plain. Lunch independent. Visit Tunnels of War with personal experience from the survivor of war times in Sarajevo. Afternoon free for personal arrangement. Overnight stay and dinner at hotel *** star in Sarajevo. 

     DAY 5 SARAJEVO – MOSTAR 139 KM 

      

    Breakfast at hotel. Departure for Mostar (Bosnia), arrival and accommodation in hotel ****/***** stas in Mostar. In the afternoon city tour of Mostar with visit to Turkish House and Mosque. Dinner and overnight at hotel. 

    DAY 6 MOSTAR – SPLIT 157 KM 

    Breakfast at hotel. After breakfast some free time for stroll through the city. Around 10.00 departure towards Split. Stoppage on route for independent lunch. Arrival Split and accommodation at hotel ***/**** star in Split.. In the evening dinner at local restaurant in Split with folklore performance. After dinner return to hotel and overnight.

    DAY 7 SPLIT

    Breakfast at hotel. Full day excursion to UNESCO World Heritage List town Trogir (often called the statue town), and Salona (an ancient Illyrian Delmati city). City tour of Split's magnificent nature, rich culture and heritage (the Procurative, Peristil, Dioclations palace, Marjan…). Lunch at independent in Trogir. Return to Split, dinner and overnight stay at hotel ***/**** star.

      

    DAY 8 SPLIT – DUBROVNIK 234 KM

    Breakfast at hotel. Departure for Dubrovnik- „pearl of Croatia“ at 9.00. On route stoppage in Ston. Lunch in local restaurant with optional oyster tasting. Arrival to Dubrovnik and free time for personal site seeing and lunch at many various, respected restaurants on Stradun (main and well know promenade in Dubrovnik). Dinner and overnight at hotel ***/**** star.

    DAY 9 DUBROVNIK

    Breakfast at hotel. City tour with local guide (Walls of Dubrovnik, Rectors Palace, Franciscan Monastery, Cathedral). Afternoon visit Konavle, house Glavić and old mill. Late lunch in house Glavić. Dinner at hotel and overnight at hotel ***/****.

    DAY 10 DUBROVNIK - Excursion to Montenegro

      

    Breakfast at hotel. At 8.00 Excursion to Montenegro - Kotor (port surrounded by an impressive city walls, sometimes called the southern fjord in Europe, impressive and picturesque Mediterranean landscape). Every part of Montenegro will tell the curious traveler many interesting stories from the various periods in time - from the grand Roman Empire to the modern times. Visit Podgorica, the capital of Montenegro. The Podgorica City Museum preserves Podgorica's rich heritage. Founded in 1950, it has four categories: archaeological, ethnographic, historical and cultural-historical. It houses artifacts which date back to the Roman and Illyrian eras. Lunch independent in local restaurant, free time till departure for Dubrovnik. Return to Dubrovnik. Farewell dinner at local restaurant in Dubrovnik with performance of traditional “klapa” ensemble. After dinner late return to hotel ***/**** star. Overnight.

    DAY 11 DUBROVNIK

    Breakfast at hotel. Transport to airport. Departure.
